WHY PMA
We engage in PMA projects on both individual parts as well as assemblies of metallic and non-metallic parts. Our network of FAA representatives, including Designated Airworthiness Representatives (DARs), Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs), and Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representatives (DMIRs), combined with our organization’s deep roots in the aerospace industry, enables our company to develop and provide value-add PMA parts to ease the supply chain issues in the industry.
GAINING CREDIBILITY
The PMA market gained FAA’s confidence through the long history of successful and safe approvals since the 1950s. Over the years, regulations were enacted to align the certification rules for the PMA parts industry with those of the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). While OEM parts have a record of established quality in design and performance when used in original equipment, PMA parts often fill a need within the industry for timely and airworthy replacement articles that are no longer produced or supported by the OEMs. In addition to the requirement for PMA parts to undergo rigorous testing to meet FAA standards requirements, PMA seekers must also demonstrate to FAA that the aftermarket part is equal to or better than the original (OEM) part it replaces.

Once Agora Space Technologies accepts the project, we will lead the project from beginning to end and work with the FAA to obtain the PMA on the article. Once the PMA is obtained, our partner who engaged us on the project receives significant discounts on unlimited parts on ongoing bases and royalties on every article sold by our company worldwide for the life of the part.
Package B: This package is designed when a partner wants to hold the PMA on a part and seeks our support with the design, reverse-engineering, prototype development, and manufacturing services for their project. Agora Space Technologies guarantees the partner significant discounts on manufactured parts for the life of the part, not to mention our partners benefiting from the steady flow of manufactured parts for the life of the article to satisfy their clients and the market needs.
